Though we sometimes doubt and often resist God’s desire to protect and save us, our God persists. In holy baptism, God’s people have been called and gathered into a God-initiated relationship that will endure. Lent provides the church with a time and a tradition in which to seek God’s face again. Lent provides another occasion to behold the God of our salvation in the face of the Blessed One who “comes in the name of the Lord.” Our service will be livestreamed from Cross of Glory Lutheran Church starting at 8:30 AM. Aunque a veces dudamos y a menudo nos resistimos al deseo de Dios de protegernos y salvarnos, nuestro Dios persiste. En el santo bautismo, el pueblo de Dios ha sido llamado y reunido en una relación iniciada por Dios que perdurará. La Cuaresma proporciona a la iglesia un tiempo y una tradición en la que buscar nuevamente el rostro de Dios. La Cuaresma proporciona otra ocasión para contemplar al Dios de nuestra salvación en el rostro del Bendito que “viene en el nombre del Señor”.
